The Seven Ponds Trail is named after natural ponds found on the flat peak of the mountain. Just like all hiking trails in Kenya, this would be a weekend well spent appreciating Kenyan scenery.

The Seven Ponds hiking trail starts with a polite walk across grass and shrubbery. This initial walk serves you a montage of the landscape.
The Seven Ponds trail snakes between Table Mountain and Rurimeria and sits in the Aberdare National Park.

At more than 3000m above sea level, you get a clear view of the park including some wild animals that could be loitering around down there.

The Seven Ponds is yet another one of those hiking trails in Kenya that you can never quite accurately and universally rate. One thing is for sure though, it is easy compared to the other treks in the same place. It is almost as if Seven Ponds is a consolation prize for beginners who cannot hack steeper hiking trails in Kenya. You can push yourself, test your endurance and even bring some family members for some sweaty fun

It’s a phone captured image of natural landscape , including a waterfall cascading with force to a rocky river ,surrounded bushy vegetation. To the right, there is a small structure that’s old Hydroelectric power station building which stalled.

To the right foot of waterfalls there’s a massive 100M+ cavern inhabited with colonies of bats, which thrive in such habitats. The combination of waterfalls , old HEP station,dense vegetation, gives it a natural allure.

I went a vacation in Amboseli National Park and took quite a number of pictures, but the sunset picture really thrilled me.

River Ewaso Nyiro which means river of brown or muddy water rises on the West of Mt Kenya and flows 700 km north passing thru’ Somalia where it joins Jubba River, which drains in the Indian Ocean.

The river has continuous water supply from the glaciers on Mount Kenya.

The waters of this great river draw wildlife in great numbers to it’s banks, creating an oasis of green,

Ewaso Nyiro also feeds into Lake Ol Bolossat, the only lake in Nyandarua County and the larger Central Kenya.

Trekking or flying over Mt. Kenya, the area is flocked with a large number of people desiring to either conquer the three peaks, Lenana, Nelion or Batian or just view the scenic landscapes, while fishing or doing a photoshoot via Chogoria route which is very scenic because of the lakes. The water body that you’re seeing on this photo is called lake Square Tarn lying, just below Lenana point, at the start of the Gorges Valley.

Diani beach sunrises are worth the early rise. I took this photo to share the feeling of happiness and tranquility, as I sat at the beach enjoying the vibrant colours of the sunrise. The oranges, yellows and blues slowly blended together as they were reflected on the vast Indian Ocean, and in the background was the rhythmic sounds of the waves rolling as they splash on the soft white sandy beach. I was in awe of the natural beauty, in what could only be described as another breathtaking moment in our magical Kenya!
